Cookie & Storage Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
South Island Slotsuses your browser's local storage — not traditional cookies — to save certain preferences and game data. This page explains exactly what is stored, why, and how you can remove it.
What we store and why
A simple yes/no value confirming you have verified you are 18 or over. Stored so you are not asked to confirm your age on every visit.
Records whether you chose 'Accept All' or 'Essential Only' in the storage notice. This is required to respect your preference.
Stores your virtual coin balance for each game so you can continue where you left off. This data has no monetary value and is never sent anywhere.
Saves your best score in Pounamu Pairs and other games that use a scoring system. Stored locally for your own reference.
May store your preferred bet size or other in-game preferences so they persist between sessions.
No analytics or advertising storage
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics storage. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified via the storage notice before any new tracking is applied.
How to clear your local data
You can delete all data stored by this site at any time:
- Open your browser settings.
- Go to Privacy and Security (or similar), then Site Settings or Cookies.
- Find southislandslots.com and choose 'Clear data' or 'Delete'.
- Alternatively, in developer tools (F12) → Application → Local Storage, delete all entries prefixed with your session identifier.
Clearing your data will reset your age confirmation, virtual coin balances, and game progress.
